Founding industry body support partner for Ground Level Alliance
We are stoked to share news of our first industry body support partner – Australian Geomechanics Society (AGS). 🙂
It’s a big endorsement of the value of our work after a big few months in setting up the Ground Level Alliance with our passionate crew!
Ground Level Alliance’s aim to promote improved sustainability practices within geomechanics across the Pacific region, via dissemination of industry best-practice from leading industry practitioners, parallels the AGS’s aim to promote research, development and improved practice within the geomechanics profession. Similarly, the Ground Level Alliance’s intent to promote sustainability via use of demonstrated case studies and provide practical resources and education opportunities to all stakeholders has, in AGS’ opinion, the opportunity to generate significant improvements to the sustainability outcomes achieved within geomechanics based aspects of civil developments. This also aligns with the AGS’ objective to provide relevant programs of geomechanics based training opportunities.
In announcing the partnership, Ground Level Alliance Chair, Robin Power, remarked: “The Ground Level Alliance is really appreciative of this support of our work and look forward to our partnering together going forward.”
Australian Geomechanics Society National Chair, Dr David Lacey, commented: “The AGS welcomes the GLA to the Australasian geomechanics fraternity and looks forward to partnering with the GLA for the benefit of all our members and interested parties. To this end, we hope to share resources and provide co-branded events that can advance the quality of practice and sustainability outcomes achieved by all aspects of our industry.”
