The Carbon Reduction Guide for Contractors is intended to support foundation contractors, with practical suggestions for how they can play their part in enabling Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 13 (Climate Action) and Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 7 (Renewable and Clean Energy). 

These guides are not minimum requirements or sector standards, but rather practical support guides, sharing good practice. Each guide uses a “what, why, how, measure” approach to sustainability:

  Why does this area of sustainability matter to geotechnical companies? Why should they bother to improve this area of sustainability?

  What metrics could geotechnical companies use to measure their progress and set targets in this area of sustainability?
