PAS 2080 covers everything in the value chain from the materials to design, construction, and the use of a structure, including demolition and disposal and aims to reduce carbon and cost through intelligent design, construction and use.

It is designed for new projects or programs of work as well as the management or retrofit of existing assets and networks.

A key enabler to managing building and infrastructure whole of life carbon is collaboration and this standard provides guidance. Leadership is required at all levels to drive a carbon management process that leads to carbon reduction. Coordination and collaboration between all parts of the supply chain is required.
